Only administrators, hosts and moderators can create polls in groups.
To create a poll:
- On the group home screen, tap 'New' if you're on a desktop or the "+" pink button (bottom right corner) if you're on your mobile app
- Select 'New poll'
- Add your question (max. 80 characters) and up to 10 answer options (max. 80 characters each). You can use the bin icon to remove options.
- Enable the visibility boost if you'd like to send your poll as an email as well as publish it to the group
- If you want to discuss the results of your poll, you can create a separate conversation for it. To do this, simply tick the box that says 'Create a conversation for this poll'. The new conversation will be visible in your group feed and can be accessed by anyone who participated in the poll. However, if you delete this conversation, the poll will also be deleted.
- Tap 'Create' to publish
Note:
You can only see poll results once you've voted yourself. Results are anonymous.
Members can only choose one answer and they can only vote once.
There is no option to add an 'Other' response with an associated text field. It's also not currently possible for members to comment on a poll - you'll need to start a separate conversation for any comments.
